Cookie & Browser Storage Notice
The quote journey needs a small amount of browser storage to work. This page says what is stored, why it is needed, how long it lasts, and which protected features load an external service.

1. What this notice covers
Cookies are small values stored by a website in a browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. This notice explains the storage used by the Lemon Monkey website and the external services loaded for a feature you request. It should be read with our Privacy Notice.
2. Essential WooCommerce quote session
The quotation journey uses an essential WooCommerce session cookie to keep the correct quote request and server-side basket connected to the current browser. Without it, selected products may not reach the quote form or submission. It is used for the requested quotation service rather than advertising.
3. Quote basket local storage
The site stores selected product identifiers, names, quantities, variants, colours, branding choices, and related catalogue information in local storage so the quote basket survives navigation and an accidental browser restart. It does not contain the contact and address fields entered later. The stored basket expires 14 days after it was last updated and is also removed when the basket is cleared.
4. Smart Adviser session storage
Smart Adviser stores the current draft, session identifier, scoped access credential, brief, and selected lines in session storage so the result can continue safely into the quote form. Session storage normally ends when the browser or tab session ends and is cleared by the Adviser when the draft is no longer needed. The related server access credential expires after approximately 24 hours.
5. Google reCAPTCHA
Contact and quote forms may load Google reCAPTCHA to distinguish genuine submissions from automated abuse. Google may receive technical information and use cookies or device signals under its own terms when the protected form is loaded and used. This processing supports form and service security. If reCAPTCHA is unavailable, the protected form may not be submitted and you can contact us by telephone or email instead.
6. Stripe payment functionality
Stripe’s payment script is loaded on the approved-quote payment page. Stripe may use cookies, local storage, and device information to provide the payment form, authenticate transactions, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Lemon Monkey does not receive the full card number entered into Stripe’s form.
7. Restricted campaign measurement
Where enabled for an approved campaign link, Lemon Monkey records validated campaign-source values and the permitted site path visited. A random session identifier exists only in page memory for that visit and is not written to a cookie, local storage, or session storage by this measurement component. The server records a daily keyed hash rather than the browser identifier and the request deliberately omits browser credentials and referrer information.
8. Your controls
Browser controls can delete or block cookies and site storage. Blocking essential session storage may stop the quote basket, Smart Adviser handoff, protected forms, or payment page from working. Where Lemon Monkey introduces a non-essential tracking or advertising technology, it must be disclosed and consent controls must be provided before that technology is used where applicable law requires consent.
9. Updates and contact
We update this notice when website storage or third-party services materially change. Questions can be sent to info@lemonmonkey.co.uk or raised by calling 01942 387234.
